TOP 5 Coats Signed by Etna Maar in which we want to feel warm this winter
... Wool, knitting, and a little bit of fur... Everyone will find something for themselves.
The colours are winter-like, black with lots of gray and some white pieces. Coats are certainly the highlight of the collection, but Etna Maar also introduces a "little black dress" in her collection for autumn and winter and a long grey dress which is, as if made for long walks over fallen leaves.
...That the designer sensed what our fashion audience wants, was also clear after thundering applause after Etna Maar brand collection presentation.
Fashion Review… Cro A Porter
One part of designers, classified as "alternative," was placed on the ground floor of the Car Museum "Ferdinand Budicki." ... experts of fashion trends were able to recognize how excellent collection was the one created by the designer Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik, or Etna Maar. This season as well, she has shown how much she is familiar with softness of knitting and excellent combination of fur and textile.
She created interesting new forms of coats, jackets, and dresses. She launched fashion on the market that we do not have to call necessarily avant-guard just because sleeves are loose, and edges of dresses and coats are asymmetrical and/or have careless finishing. These are clothes able to be out in the fashion world of the street without any doubt.
The Night of Avant-guard for Experienced Fashion Experts
...What makes Andrijana different from others again is her ability to make an "avant-guard" design saleable, commercial - although this is the word that many "avant-guard" designers detest.
...Andrijana's warm coats made of wool, combined with artificial fur, and long knitted wool overcoats are quite certainly the greatest asset of the collection (along with very attractive knitted dresses). Apart from the "looks" Andrijana offered, we can equally well imagine them over gala dresses to produce "edgy" look.

Review of the first day of Cro A Porter at zagrebancija. co
"The collection by Etna Maar is part of a designer's story in which clothes need to be well modelled. A good sign is the fact that correctly tailored pieces can and must look as if someone merely fixed them or crumpled them and that all this is designed on the cut itself instead of searching for such an effect persistently and without competence by means of primitive crumpling of textile. Her sense of working with knitting is recognized even when dresses are of very simple fashion. The play of colours or stripes is well elaborated both in terms of composition and proportion." 24sata.hr on collection Picasso & Etna Maar
"Designer Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik created somewhat avant-guard collection for Etna Maar using black, white, and red colour. Thanks to the simplicity of lines and materials, the clothes are extremely wearable, especially among admirers of minimalism." - 24 sata -DETAIL
She copied Picasso's lover on dresses
"She opened the first evening of Cro-A-Porter with dresses which were, according to her, inspired by Pablo Picasso's oil on canvass "The Young Ladies of Avignon." As an homage to the legendary painter, Andrijana designed a collection with elements of geometry and cubism. Prints of Picasso's lover Dora Maar's eyes were put on dresses (and her surname had been incorporated in the name of Andrijana's brand)." - 24sata.hr -DETAIL
Tportal.hr on collection Picasso & Etna Maar
"The work of Pablo Picasso and the life of his lover Dora Maar were inspiration for a new collection by Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik for her brand Etna Maar. Etna Maar brings asymmetry, as expected, but also unexpectedly many colours. A hit will be her long striped dresses, over dimensioned jackets, and what she is otherwise recognizable for, her knitting." - Tportal.hr -DETAIL
Cromoda on collection Picasso & Etna Maar
"The first evening was opened by Etna Maar, brand by designer Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik, who presented a collection in predominantly light colours with several black pieces and red dresses with stripes. Most of cuts were asymmetric and pieces wearable, and they will probably find their way to buyers with their multilayered features." - Cromoda.com -DETAIL
Fashion.hr on collection Picasso & Etna Maar
"The first evening was opened by Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik, designer of the brand Etna Maar. The collection is inspired by the works of Pablo Picasso, to be more precise, by portraits of Dora Maar. This influence is visible in the print of an eye which the designer decently applied on most of the collection. Grey shades and asymmetric lines are completed with interesting structured materials, and the series of striped dresses in rather bright colours drew most attention. The dresses are skilfully combined with capes and deconstructed over dimensioned jackets in silver shades. Picasso's art is also transferred on models, whose faces had drawings of recognizable motives by Picasso." - Fashion.hr -DETAIL
Buro 247 on collection Picasso & Etna Maar
"An avant-guard vision of Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik is based on black, red, and grey colours this season. At her earlier show, we could see meticulously made coats in the same shades and this time, for the spring of 2103, we could see her dresses. Women who prefer wearable clothes, but with a slight deviation, will like the short pieces, stripes, and bare shoulders in this casual story. We, personally, liked the styling because of interesting models of platform shoes which we can imagine wearing this summers." - Buro247.hr -DETAIL
Etna Maar is mentioned in the New York TIME
"I found my seat and immediately launched into my first fashion interview, ever, with Andrijana Subotić Pjajcik. She’s a Croatian fashion designer and, more importantly, the lady who happened to be sitting next to me at this show. Andrijana was on her first trip to New York as a gift from her husband on her 40th birthday. She’d already seen Michael Kors’ collection at an earlier show and was excited to check out Sui. “I have my own shops in Zagreb, so I make some comparisons,” she says. “I saw lots of inspiration walking through New York.” " - Victor Luckerson -DETAIL

The collection called "Dorian Gray" is dominated by dark shades, interrupted by red colour, as well as sharp and over accentuated lines, again thanks to Neoprene, but tamed by knitting." - On Other Skin - Photo: Robert BernatDETAIL

Interview with designer Andrijana Subotić Pjajčin in Extravagant.com.hr
"At the end of 2004, Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik established fashion studio "Etna" and applied label "Etna Maar" on her creations. It is a symbolical name bursting with the energy of Etna, the miraculous volcano on the Sicily and Dora Maar, self-confident and eccentric photographer from the period of surrealism. This energy is incorporated in each and every piece signed by Andrijana Subotić Pjajčik. I am especially happy about her shift into a new domain of fashion and her first collection for girls." - Extravagant.com.hr-DETAIL
